Stella Smith,
Consultant

Stella Smith specialises in strategy and change management. She has been involved with the UK voluntary sector for over 15 years, starting as a VSO volunteer in China before becoming a VSO trustee and going on to work in user involvement, strategy and change.

Whilst retaining a focus on impact and outcomes, she has significant experience of developing strategy and implementing change in charities, specialising in developing robust management approaches which inspire and involve people.

Stella also maintains a keen interest in knowledge management, working with organisations to identify, maximise and leverage intangible assets particularly the creativity and tacit knowledge which underpins so much of the excellent work of the voluntary sector. An experienced and engaging presenter, she has presented on a range of topics related to her areas of expertise, most recently ‘Creativity, Intuition and Leadership’ at the Annual UK Servant-Leadership conference.

Before joining the sector Stella was an English teacher and worked in corporate sales. She has a BA(Hons) in English Studies, an MBA and is a volunteer Refugee Mentor at Time Together. Her interests include travel, reading and music.
