Sarah Godwin,
Fundraising Consultant

Sarah joined the Action Planning team in January 2005 and brings in particular her experience of fundraising in the educational sector. She was Deputy Development Director at Epsom College for 4 years, primarily involved with research, database management, organizing events for major donors and alumni communications as part of a major Capital Appeal. She has a wide experience of schools having worked for many years a volunteer fundraiser and Trustee with a private school. She spent 25 years living in New Zealand where she worked as a teacher of English as a Foreign Language. She has also worked for several years in direct marketing.

Her role in Action Planning is focused on first-hand involvement with implementing projects for charities and developing the educational market. She has considerable experience in prospect research, bid writing, trust and statutory funding.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys keeping up with her extended family and friends from around the world, amateur dramatics in the village, volunteer crewing for a local canal restoration trust, travel, walking and as much as can be fitted into the day!
