Adèle
Bird,
Director of Senior Recruitment
Adèle has a passion for
the charity sector and a career within it spanning
20 years, including roles in fundraising, management
and recruitment. Her
most recent role was the UK Head of an international
NGO where she spent 5 successful years and was given
the accolade of making some of the most successful
recruitment appointments in the charity’s 25
year history.
Prior to that she spent almost 10
years with a specialist recruitment agency in the sector,
culminating in the post of Director. Adèle
is now responsible for recruiting senior personnel
for the third sector at Action Planning. Alongside
her main employment, Adèle has worked freelance
as Senior Advisor to the leading web based charity
sector recruitment site, CharityJOB since 2003. As
a volunteer to the sector, Adèle is a Trustee
of the Waltham Forest Dyslexia Association and the
Winchester Road Scouts and Guides Group. Adèle
is also a member of the Institute of Fundraising and
served on their London Group Executive for 6 years
where she was Treasurer. Adèle is an active
member of her local Methodist Church.
Adèle's interest in people and passion for the
sector enables her to quickly understand what each organisation
needs as they seek her assistance to recruit key personnel. Adèle
encourages professional recruitment practices to ensure
that the best appointment is made in order to
make a lasting, positive impact on each organisation.
